Featuring the Oscar and Grammy Award-Winning Music of Phil Collins (Los Angeles, CA – June 15, 2015) From the masters of family entertainment, who brought you The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and Mary Poppins, 3D Theatricals (3DT) of Orange County is pleased to present the first, major, fully-produced Southern California regional premiere of the Tony nominated TARZAN® The Stage Musical based on the Disney Film at both Fullerton’s historic Plummer Auditorium July 11 – 26 and the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center August 1 – 9, 2015.

A Los Angeles Ovation Award-winning production company, 3D Theatricals was also the recipient of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre. “We’re very pleased to present to our audiences what will be a truly unique major-regional premiere for Southern California,” says 3D Theatricals Executive Producer and Artist Director T.J. Dawson.

“TARZAN® is not only a great adventure, but a beautiful story of family, love and acceptance. Add to that, a sweeping score by Phil Collins, and TARZAN® is the must-see show of the summer for audiences of all ages!”

ABOUT THE PRODUCTION: Familiar to families over several generations, TARZAN® tells the classic tale of a shipwreck that leaves an infant boy orphaned on the shores of West Africa. The child is taken in and raised by a tribe of gorillas; in particular, the mate of an ape who is grieving the loss of her baby. As the child grows and matures into manhood, he thrives in his primitive environment, even though
he yearns for approval from his gorilla father; and to discover the reason for his own uniqueness.

That is… until the arrival of a hunting expedition; his first sighting of humans, and the realization of the world beyond his jungle home.
