The city of Aliso Viejo is gearing up for its annual Founder’s Day Fair Saturday, October 1 at the Aliso Viejo Ranch.
Continuing the celebration of Aliso Viejo’s 15th anniversary, this year’s family event is from 1 to 6 p.m. at the rustic 7-acre ranch at 100 Park Avenue (across from Aliso Viejo Middle School).
Fairgoers will enjoy live entertainment, old-fashioned mechanical rides and games, inflatables, interactive historical exhibits, pony rides, a petting zoo, rock-climbing wall, obstacle course, children’s carousel and derby car building and racing experience. New to Founder’s Day this year is a horse-drawn hay wagon and 25-foot Ferris wheel. Local nonprofit groups will host food and community booths as well as a beer-and-wine saloon. Admission is free with nominal fees for food and certain activities.
