Monographie, a solo exhibition of more than 20 unique multi-media works by International European Artist Claudia Meyer will continue during the September 3 Art Walk with an opening from 6-9 pm. This collection of diverse pieces, where the artists presents her sophisticated studies of the theme word (i.e. title Monographie…. and other titles of artworks are C. Meyer’s result of “playing with words”) include three dimensional paintings and Lucite sculptures with LED lighting. Combining traditional painting and drawing techniques and media such as oil, acrylic and calligraphy on canvas, the artist incorporates collage and assemblage, including fabrics, stainless steel, slate, precious stones, wood and in most of her recent pieces – plexi glass in a very innovative way. In attendance from 6-9 pm, on popular demand during the past Art Walk events at Marion Meyer Contemporary Art, is Boey (originally from Malaysia) , showing his latest sharpie pen creations on foam cups. (Image attached).
