New Classes:
Brent Huff’s classes begin September 15th
To be clear – this man is a film director and an actor for over 27 years. He has booked tons of commercials – still does- and does voice over work every day. He is represented by William Morris for Voice Over – and did the voice over in a commercial with Garth Brooks for JC Penny, Ford trucks, Order of Redemption…and more…. he knows his stuff.
5:00-6:30 – Commercial intensive class – learn “the moment before”…no “one word answers”…be put on tape…slates, Q&A..commercial cold read.
6:30-9:00 – Voice Over plus auditioning techniques.
THESE CLASSES ARE FOR FOUR WEEKS ONLY. No make ups – no excuses…
booking is where it’s at. Brent is one of the nicest men you will ever meet. He loves this school and has done so much for the students here – he continually puts our students in his projects…attend! It’s worth it! You can’t afford not to….
BTW: Agents WANT VO classes and they requested that we get this on our roster asap!
Randi Driscoll’s Performance Class will start at the end of September. She will give me the exact date. It will be on a Thursday night – and will end with a holiday performance. This is an added fee workshop. Randi is in the studio recording the last few tracks on her new CD.

Hip Hop Trial Class:
Saturday Morning – 10:00
September 12th.
Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend…children through adults.
From this trial class – we will see if the teacher is a fit. We can separate out ages after this trial. So for now, we want to see her moves, her music and teaching skills and the interest of the student’s/parents.

ACTOR’S FORUM:
Have to say we have landed some AMAZING casting directors for this year’s forum.
We are encouraging everyone to SIGN UP ASAP as we have to start the process of scheduling the four workshops for the event. There will be a class during the week and one on the weekend to accommodate everyone’s schedule. Enrollment forms are at the front desk or you can CALL in your registration.

IMTA Auditions are ow in process…you need to call Suzy Lee to make an appointment. IMTA is an amazing adventure – but not for everyone. If you can’t participate in the IMTA convention this January in LA at the Boniventure Hotel – then do ACTOR’S FORUM…

CONGRATS: Rochelle Gluzman – she shot her commercial and brought in an amazing photo of her on set in front of the green screen. She’s an amazing dedicate young actor and we are so happy for her success.
Max Page – our 4 year old wonder child – auditioned for Buchwald Talent and they, like everyone else LOVED him. Max has already done a stint on the Jimmy Kimmel Show. He’s one tough dude – this little guy is a regular in Randall’s Method Acting Class – a class that most teens and adults cannot “hang”. Yeah Max!

Sunday – September 13th – Jeff is planning Phase II of his Young Actor’s Master Class. If you participated in Phase I, you are invited back.
He will also be starting a New Phase I for students who could not attend the last session. He will be personally inviting students who he feels are ready for this level of training. If you think your child should be considered, contact this office or email me asap.

Please check out Musetta Vander’s website – especially the Body, Mind and Spirt section. When she’s finished filming her next project – we are going to be holding seminars/workshops here on Qi Gong. She will be putting together a newsletter…so you can read up and attend. She does an amazing seminar on the body, mind, spirit connection as well as emotions and your health. Check out her website: www.musettavander.com
This is our last week of summer camp and we have had an amazing season of performances. It’s so fun to see children arrive on Monday and leave on Friday flying high after performing on our stage.
Acting is a skill that transcends from the classroom to the board room. A monologue is the same thing as an oral book report, sales presentation or a closing argument.
Unfortunately our school systems do no focus on building self-esteem and confidence. There are no anti-shy classes. Our success stories on self-esteem trump our success stories about booking jobs. Watching these children go through the process and seeing the end result is a continual testament to what and why I do this.
It has never been about money. It’s about doing the right thing in the right way. We have amazing teachers, amazing students and so many parents that I truly love. Thank you all…and have a great Labor Day. Remember – this is the weekend we put the white shoes and purses away! (lol)…
