Ocean Institute to Present 2nd Annual Surfscience Teen Conference
DANA POINT, CA, – The Ocean Institute will present its 2nd Annual Surfscience Teen Conference for 8th to 12th grade students with an interest in surf, ocean science, conservation and general ocean appreciation on Saturday, October 17, 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Participants will:
• Meet and interact with researchers from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography
• See equipment used for research, including a water sampling jet ski and a beach monitoring ATV
• Help conduct ocean currents experiments at Imperial Beach, and much more.
The $15 registration fee includes a light breakfast, lunch, the bus trip and needed materials.
