Several non-profit organizations and community groups will take part in the city’s Founder’s Day Fair Saturday.

The Aliso Viejo Girls Softball, AYSO, St. Mary’s Drum Line, local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and others are gearing up for the community event that celebrates Aliso Viejo’s roots.

This year’s event features a cornucopia of entertainment catering to all ages and tastes. Visitors to the Aliso Viejo Ranch will enjoy historic re-enactments, a world-champion baton twirler, a hip dance group, an acoustic rock band and more.

The annual fair takes place from noon to 6 p.m. and includes a water balloon launch; games; demonstrations; watermelon and pie-eating contests; gold panning; pony rides; tasty fare; and much more.

Admission is free to the city’s Founder’s Day Fair. The Aliso Viejo Ranch is at 100 Park Avenue.

Parking is available at the Aliso Viejo Middle School, nearby community park and on Cedarbrook and Park Avenue.

Information about Founder’s Day Fair is available on the city’s Web site at www.cityofalisoviejo.com.
