Laguna Woods Resident Featured
Laguna Woods resident Carol McDaniel will be the featured quilter at the November 7-8, A Harvest of Quilts Show at SOKA University in Aliso Viejo. Carol has drawn from her art background to create stunning, one of a kind quilts.
A Harvest of Quilts is sponsored by the Flying Geese Quilters Guild, a creative group of local quilters. Over 250 quilts and specialty items made by the members will be available for public viewing. In addition the First Place Winning Quilts from the 2008 National Quilt Guild Challenge will be displayed, as well as a unique antique quilt exhibit showing quilting traditions from 1808 to the 1950’s.
SOKA University is located at 1 University Drive in Aliso Viejo. The show will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 7th, and 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 8th.
