The CUSD Foundation has been hard at work with our community to support programs within the district including teacher grants, music, class-size reduction and more. Below is an update on our efforts- we hope that you will support our cause in continuing to provide a first class education to the students of the Capistrano Unified School District.
Funds Donated: At the first CUSD Board Meeting of the school year on September 15th the CUSD Foundation presented a check to the District in the amount of $97,322.19, which was the remainder of funds from the Class Size Reduction Campaign of 2008. The funds will be used for Class Size Reduction 1 /2 grade combo classes.
In other CUSD Foundation news: The 16th Annual Golf Classic was held on Monday, September 21st at El Niguel Country Club. The tournament was a big success, raising over $30,000! The proceeds, along with other fundraising efforts, will fund grants for teachers, allowing much-needed resources to reach students directly.
