Canyon Wren between Crane Street and Seagull Lane will be closed on Thursday and Friday while geotechnical testing is conducted.
The work in the Laguna Audubon II neighborhood stems from some cracking in the asphalt pavement on Canyon Wren that dates back to 2002. City staff, which made a presentation to the Laguna Audubon II board on Oct. 14, has monitored the situation, conducted tests and does not feel there is any danger of larger earth movements.
A geotechnical company will perform exploratory soils investigation to determine the underlying conditions of the slope.
Letters were sent to residents notifying them of the work.
