Lil Niqo and Pink Army join The Jumpitz® and
kids’ pop-rocker Justin Roberts
(Carlsbad, Calif. – Kids’ New Year’s Eve at LEGOLAND® California is the biggest kids New Year’s celebration in Southern California, so it is only fitting that two of the four featured musical acts are by kids.
Nine-year-old hip-hop artist Lil Niqo and Pink Army, an all girl band with an average age of 11, join the The Jumpitz®, one the hottest children’s entertainment groups in the nation and kids’ pop-rocker Justin Roberts and his Not Ready for Naptime Players for the rockingest Kids’ New Year’s Eve in the 10-year history of the Park.
Like the famous Times Square party, Kids’ New Year’s Eve, presented by Western Dental, features a countdown followed by a huge LEGO® brick dropping 22-feet into 2010 along with a dazzling fireworks display over Miniland U.S.A., all before 6 p.m.
All mini revelers will be given a variety of party favors including noisemakers, glow-in-the-dark bracelets, commemorative LEGO bricks, festive party hats and fireworks viewing glasses.
Pink Army kicks off the party at 3:30 p.m. with their upbeat songs ranging from hip hop to pop for a performance that will make young guests want to get up and dance.
Lil Niqo, a.k.a. Boy Wonder takes the stage at 4 p.m. with his unique style of rap and hip-hop that brings hope to challenged kids. The Jumpitz, who kicked off the Park’s Holly Jolly Holidays celebration at the Tree Lighting Ceremony in November perform at 4:30. And Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players, popular performers at Kids’ New Year’s Eve for the last three years, give a lively, interactive concert at 5:00.

Pink Army was formed in San Diego in 2008. The band name signifies peace, strength and femininity. The three girls – Alicia Randolph, Lia Johnson and Kayla Cruise have 16 years of experience performing between them from theater and dance to television, films and music videos. Recently Pink Army has been seen performing throughout California including The San Diego County Fair, Lancaster Baseball Stadium, The Orange County Fair and the Del Mar Race Track.

Lil Niqo was three when he first grabbed a mic and four when he first began begging to get on stage. A native of San Diego, career highlights include performing in front of a crowd of 30,000 at Petco Park and opening for the well-known rapper MIMS. Born with CIP (Chronic Intestinal Pseudo-Bowel Obstruction), a rare disease, Lil Niqo stays positive expressing himself through music.
