Universal Studios Hollywood's "13 Days of Grinchmas" comes to an end this Thursday

Celebrity readings of “Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas” are being featured during the “13 Days of Grinchmas” holiday event at Universal Studios HollywoodSM, with stars of such top TV series as “Heroes,” “PSYCH” “90210,” “The Hills,” “Dancing with the Stars,” and “The Simpsons” plus TV news and radio personalities adding their personal accents to the timeless Dr. Seuss classic.

The “13 Days of Grinchmas” are being featured at Universal Studios Hollywood from December 19 -31 as The Entertainment Capital of L.A. celebrates the season with tons of real white snow, a very green Grinch, encounters with Cindy-Lou Who and Max the Dog and a “Whoville Whobilation” at the original movie sets where the classic “Dr Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas” was filmed.

Celebrity storybook readers feature cast members from USA Network’s “PSYCH,” including Dule Hill, Corbin Bernsen, Timothy Omundson and Kirsten Nelson, “Heroes” star James Kyson Lee, “The Hills” star Jayde Nicole, Shenae Grimes from “90210,” “Mean Girls” star Daniel Franzese, Jennifer Stone of “Wizards of Waverly Place,” Adrienne Frantz from “The Young and The Restless,” Cheryl Burke from “Dancing with the Stars” and the voice of “Bart Simpson,” Nancy Cartwright.

Readings occur on most “13 Days of Grinchmas” dates at 4:45 p.m. and take place near the whimsical curving Grinchmas tree, which tower 60 feet above the center of a snow-covered Grinchmas winter wonderland. The tree will be lit in a nightly ceremony featuring The Grinch, his faithful dog Max, and a colorfully costumed “Whoville” characters. Families will be able to pose with the Whoville cast for memorable holiday photos and will also enjoy traditional winter fun, romping in a playground of real snow and building their own snowmen.

“Grinchmas” will also provide fans of the blockbuster movie a close-up view of the original Whoville film sets aboard the world-famous behind-the-scenes Studio Tour. As the tram rolls to a stop amid the fanciful “Whoville” buildings, guests will experience a one-of-a-kind performance by Whoville’s residents re-enacting favorite scenes from the film.

Universal Studios Hollywood is open 365 days of the year, including Thanksgiving and Christmas day. Southern California residents can attend the “Grinchmas” event with the purchase of the “Buy A Day, Get 2010 Free” pass and return to enjoy a full year of admission for the price of a single day’s ticket.
