We have a lot of new things to tell you:
First of all TONIGHT: Director Worth Keeter is coming in at 7:00 looking for extras for a film that will be shot in Newport Beach next week. Brent Huff is in the film. It’s a non-paying job – but resume and imdb. credits. He’s looking for people for a restaurant scene. If you are interested you need to be here tonight at 7:00 with your headshot to meet Worth.

NEW PLAY AUDITIONING HERE:
We are putting on a production of “Juvie”.
This play was awarded the Social Awareness award.
Content: It’s a social and civic awarness play written by Jerome McDonough and directed by Philip Schwadron.
“Juvie” depicts the life of kids who are scared, lonely, and locked up. It brings home the bad choices and associations made by young adults and the consequences of those choices.
CLEAN LANGUAGE – Monologue intensive,
Two Performances
16 weeks of rehearsal
Cost: $200 (that’s about 4 bucks per rehearsal).
Rehearsals will be on Monday nights from 6:30 – 8:30
I have agents and casting directors interested in coming down to watch the play. Good chance to showcase talent.
Ages 13-19
Will consider talented 12 year olds.

BIG BIG NEWS:
Casting Director Ricki Masler is coming to The Performer’s Academy.
As you know, she’s the casting director of block buster, “Paranormal Activity”.
Her three hour workshop will be on:
February 7th, 2010
The last 1/2 hour Q&A for parents
COST: $100
Space is limited on this.
Age group must be 9+ adult.
Under age 9 – we must see you in person.
Bring headshots/resumes
Time: 1-4:00 PM
Because of the success of Paranormal Activity – Ricki has 4 more features lined up. Her world is rocking and we are very glad that she is such a good friend to The Performer’s Academy.
No need to schlep to LA for Casting Director’s workshops, they will be held here in OC, once per month.
