IMPORTANT YEARBOOK INFORMATION

Yearbooks will be sold on January 26 and 27 before school and at lunch. They are $40. Please make checks out to DJAMS. Order forms can be found at the attendance window, on Edline, and by emailing Stacey Olson at seolson@capousd.org. This is your last chance to be guaranteed a yearbook. So don’t forget to purchase one. If you are not sure you purchased a yearbook, lists will be in homeroom classes and at the attendance window.

Yearbook Ad Sales
Eighth grade ads are due on Friday, January 15. Order forms can be found on Edline or by emailing Stacey Olson at seolson@capousd.org. Don’t miss this opportunity to congratulate your son or daughter on a great 3 years of middle school!

After School, Weekends, and Summer Pictures
Yearbook is looking for pictures of students outside of school. Did you go somewhere neat over the summer? Did you have a fun birthday party? Submit pictures to Mrs. Olson at seolson@capousd.org or give them to Mrs. Olson in room 811. Please include the first and last name of each DJAMS student in the picture and information about what is happening in the picture. Please submit pictures by January 15.

DJAMS Family Pictures
Yearbook will be taking pictures of students and teachers at DJAMS who are related (siblings, cousins, etc). The pictures will be taken on Tuesday, January 12, at 8:00 am on the blacktop by the 800 building. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Olson or email her at seolson@capousd.org.

DJAMS HISTORY DAY IS COMING!
Students in AAA/GATE 7th and 8th grade history/social science classes will turn in their projects on Monday, February 9. Students in Dr. Wallace’s class who are creating websites or documentaries will have a different due date, but will also participate in the DJAMS site competition. Projects will be on display in the MPR until Tuesday, February 10. Judging will take place that week, and those projects of highest merit will be sent to the Orange County competition on March 13.

County Competition Judges: The Orange County Department of Education seeks parent volunteers to judge projects. This year’s training session takes place on March 3 from 4:30 to 7 pm. Interested? Contact Cindy Salisbury at csalisbury@ocde.us.
