Elks celebrate Mother’s Day with a fabulous buffet for members and families

Date:

It was a special day for moms at the Mission Viejo, Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge. The annual event has grown in popularity and is held for members and their guests. Next to honoring the mothers, the star of the show was the lavish buffet with fresh fruit, a carving station – pork loin & prime rib, bacon & sausage, eggs benedict, biscuits and gravy, waffles with strawberries & whip cream, and omelets made to order.

There were also other breakfast pastries and desserts and coffee, tea and orange juice. Carnations were handed to all the mothers and the centerpieces (floral wicker purses with potted mini rose plants) were raffled off.

Mother’s Day cards were given to the children so they could color a special Mother’s Day card for mom. There was also a complimentary glass of champagne for the Mothers. The brunch was a big success thanks to all who attended and all the wonderful members who volunteered as helpers.
