Steven G. Moyer Named CEO of Age Well Senior Services

Date:

Age Well Senior Services’ Board of Directors member and veteran restaurant business executive Steven G. Moyer has been named CEO of the Laguna Hills, California-based nonprofit organization.

Moyer became acting CEO in October of 2017 while the Board undertook a search for a new leader to replace Age Well founder and former CEO Dr. Marilyn Ditty, who now serves as Founder Emeritus.

Previously, Moyer was the president of Aloha Restaurants, Inc., a full-service restaurant company with eateries in California and Hawaii. He has been on the Age Well’s Board since 2006, including serving as president for three years. His other nonprofit experience includes serving on the Multiple Sclerosis Business Advisory Board and the University of California, Irvine Business Advisory Committee.

Age Well’s President of the Board of Directors Marlene Bridges said, “During Steve’s tenure as acting CEO, the executive committee observed his strong leadership skills and sincere heart for Age Well’s mission.  Beginning October of 2017 he moved seamlessly into the role that Dr. Ditty performed so well for over 35 years. Steve is also working to streamline systems, evaluate the skills of our existing staff and prepare for the growing future needs of the South Orange County seniors we serve. Steve’s strong management skills, as well as his sincere heart for seniors, made him stand out as the person we needed to lead Age Well into a new era.  Our Board is delighted to support him as we look forward to the bright future of Age Well under Steve’s leadership.”

“I am honored to accept this position at the helm of an outstanding organization that has become a lifeline to seniors in south Orange County,” said Moyer. “My pledge is to make Age Well an even stronger force for good in the communities we serve.”

Since 1975, Age Well has been providing critical services, resources and programs to seniors living in South Orange County, including serving more than 300,000 Meals on Wheels annually, as well as providing non-emergency medical transportation services to over 3,000 seniors annually.
