Public review period open for AV Ranch Project & Community Development Grant

Date:

The public is invited to review a draft environmental study for the Aliso Viejo Ranch project as well as the City’s 2018-2022 Consolidated Plan for CDBG funds.

The proposed Aliso Viejo Ranch project would designate the 7-acre parcel as a public park with passive open space, a community center, which would include a renovated historic barn; new barn; an existing historic bunkhouse; and multi-use gathering areas. The project would feature a working small-scale farm and agricultural-based education programming. A portion of the farm would also include an aquaponics farm.

The City’s 2018-2022 Consolidated Plan is based on the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, which provides communities with resources to address a wide range of unique community development needs.

The public review period for the Ranch project and CDBG plan runs through July 16.
