Children ages 7 and 8 will have an exceptionally creative 2-week experience this July at the Laguna Playhouse Youth Theatre Storybook Summer Camp! Classes meet in the morning, Monday through Thursday, July 9 to 19 from 9:30 am – 11:30 am.
Students learn and explore the fun in acting, writing, storytelling and performing in a story created together in class. Using traditional fairytales as a story structure platform, students share their favorite characters, story events, (contemporary or traditional) and the class helps shape their own play with characters, scenes, plot, conflict, climax and resolution. Students perform for parents, siblings, and friends on the last day of class.
The class is limited to 10 students. The instructor is Erin Sawyer, Assistant Instructors are
Molly Cohn and Faith Ackley.
