Military Support Donations of Baby Blankets and Diapers needed!

Date:

Each time a baby is born into the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines a baby care-package is assembled and delivered to the family. Currently, there is a need for new baby blankets for these special care packages. Over 1,000 military families live on base at Camp Pendleton, and we want them to know that the many sacrifices they make for our country are appreciated.

We are also collecting donations of diapers in all sizes to help pamper the mommies-to-be of the City’s adopted 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines. Diapers and baby wipes are expensive, costing up to $70 to $80 per month per baby.  On average, a baby needs 6 to 10 diapers a day to stay fresh and healthy.  As a community, we would like to show our support to the new and expectant mommies and thank them for the sacrifices they make as a military spouse.

Donations may be dropped off at the Bell Tower Regional Community Center, 22232 El Paseo, Rancho Santa Margarita through Friday, August 3rd.

For more information, please contact the Community Services Department at (949) 216-9700.
