Aliso Viejo Cancer Survivor’s Walk Team Raises Over $10,000 for Cancer Research

Trayer’s Troop, a walk team led by blood cancer survivor Greg Trayer of Aliso Viejo, raised $10,470 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Orange County/Inland Empire’s 2009 Light the Night walk at Angel Stadium held August 22.

The amount raised was the 4th highest of the family and friends teams in Orange County. The team and other Light the Night fundraisers were honored at a special awards dinner at Anaheim Hills Golf Course on February 4.

Combined with the Inland Empire Walk held October 17, the 2009 walk has raised $926,000 to date. Planning is underway for the 2010 Light the Night walk to be held September 19 at Angel Stadium; visit www.lightthenight.org/ocie or call Grace Hinojoza at (714) 481-5608 for information.
