Faith Episcopal Church will hold a traditional Christmas Eve service at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, December 24, 2018. Officiating will be the Rev. Dawn Vukich, who was installed as the 30-year-old church’s sixth Vicar earlier this year.
Both choral and bell choirs will provide a variety of traditional and sacred music selections joined by the accomplished guest musician and organist Charles Hunter.
Born and raised in West Texas, Charles Hunter studied the violin, cello, tuba, piano, and organ and received a Bachelors degree in Music from the University of Texas in Austin. Soon after, he became the organist and choirmaster at St John’s Lutheran Church in Austin. After receiving his Master of Sacred Music degree from Union Theological Seminary in 1960, he served as organist and choirmaster at several churches in New York City and New Jersey
The evening concludes with a candle lighting and a beautiful rendition of Silent Night.
