The Beach Boys
For more than half a century, The Beach Boys have been making music and have performed more concerts
than any major rock band in history. The group continues to ride the crest of an endless wave unequaled in
America’s musical history. The Beach Boys have become synonymous with the California lifestyle and an
American icon to fans around the world. The Beach Boys will pull into Costa Mesa to entertain their Orange
County fans at Segerstrom Center for the Arts on December 31.
Since lead-singer, Mike Love penned the lyrics to The Beach Boys’ first hit, “Surfin” (1961), dozens of the
band’s chart-toppers have become eternal anthems of American youth: “Surfin’ USA,” “Surfer Girl,” “Fun,
Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “Barbara Ann,” “Good Vibrations,” “Wouldn’t
It Be Nice,” “Rock and Roll Music” and “Kokomo.”
The Beach Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide and have received more than 33 RIAA
platinum and gold record awards. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers were also honored at the 2001
Grammy® Awards with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Sounds Of Summer: The Very Best Of The Beach
Boys, Capitol/EMI’s 30-track collection of the band’s biggest hits, has achieved triple-platinum success with
sales of more than three million copies in the U.S. since its release.
The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love, who, along with Bruce Johnston, Jeffrey Foskett, Tim Bonhomme,
John Cowsill, Keith Hubacher, Scott Totten and Christian Love, continue the legacy of America’s iconic band.
This concert will not feature Brian Wilson, Al Jardine or David Marks.
John Stamos
Two-time Emmy® Award-nominated actor and producer John Stamos continues to captivate audiences with
an array of multi-faceted performances across television, film, and theater.
With a career spanning more than 30 years, Stamos has become one of the most revered television stars of
his generation. He is currently on Greg Berlanti’s hit drama You, which premiered September 2018.
Stamos won the 2016 People’s Choice Award for Favorite Actor in a New TV Series for his role on FOX’S
Grandfathered, and was awarded TV Land’s Timeless Icon Award, presented to him by long-time friend and
mentor, Garry Marshall. Also in 2016, Fuller House, a multi-camera comedy spin-off of iconic comedy Full House, premiered on
Netflix and became an overnight sensation, with Stamos serving as an executive producer and guest star.
The series received a 2018 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Children’s Program and is currently in its
fourth season.
A gifted drummer, singer and musician, Stamos has toured, recorded and collaborated with the legendary
band, The Beach Boys, for more than 30 years. As an advocate for the support and advancement of children, Stamos is also a Celebrity Ambassador for
ChildHelp, an organization that helps the victims of child abuse through education treatment and prevention
programs. In 2018, he partnered with My Saint My Hero to create the St. Amos Wearable Blessings
Collection, donating 100% of the net proceeds to ChildHelp.
Segerstrom Center is a leader among the nation’s performing arts centers for providing education programs
designed to inspire young people through the arts. The Center’s programs reach hundreds of thousands of
students each year in five Southern California counties. Community engagement programs developed
through the Center for Dance and Innovation and Center Without Boundaries also connect the Center more
comprehensively with Orange County’s many diverse communities. The CDI supports flagship artistic
programming and a wide range of projects that celebrate innovation, nurture creativity and engage
audiences of the future. It is home to the ABT Gillespie School and the School of Dance and Music for
