The students in Mrs. Rosenberg’s Third Grade Class have chosen to make a difference in the survival of our planet. We want to spread the word about an important event called Earth Hour 2010. From San Francisco to Chicago to Sydney, Australia, cities and countless individuals around the world will turn off the lights for one hour at 8:30 PM on March 27th. This is a world event to show that each one of us, working together, can make a positive impact on global warming.
We want to spread the word about this event so that more people can participate. Please contact your family and friends about Earth Hour 2010. Discuss all the fun and alternate activities you can do without using electricity. Your message might simply state:
“Help Save Our Planet – Participate in Earth Hour 2010 on March 27, 2010. Turn off the lights from 8:30 – 9:30 PM. For more information, please visit
www.earthhour.org. You can make a difference.
