SMWD Water Festival – Saturday, May 4th

Join Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Ricky the Raindrop, and the Santa Margarita Water District on Saturday, May 4 for the annual Water Festival.

The Santa Margarita Water District will offer family fun like bounce houses, reptiles, glitter tattoos, and fire truck rides, along with garden and leak detection experts, and the opportunity to walk through a 5 ½ foot water pipeline.  Barbequed hot dogs, refreshing water and snow cones will be offered. Have your picture taken with special guests, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, and Ricki the Raindrop! And don’t forget to pick-up a special water saber and lunch bag giveaways.

Lastly, tour the construction of Orange County’s largest recycled water reservoir. The Trampas Canyon Reservoir will hold 1.6-billion-gallons of water and allow the Santa Margarita Water District to recycle 100% of its wastewater.
