Revised School Calendar for 2010-11: The first day of school for the 2010-11 school year has been changed to Wednesday, September 8, 2010. You can view the entire revised calendar by visiting the district website at www.capousd.org.
“College Jersey” Day! Canyon Vista’s Student Council is hosting a “College Jersey” day tomorrow, April 29th! Break out those college t-shirts and jerseys and show your spirit!
STAR TESTING: STAR testing will be the week of May 10 – May 14th with make-ups May 17th and 18th. Make sure your child gets plenty of rest and comes to school ready for their day! Test prep is on-going in classes now.
5th Graders Trip to DJAMS!! Our 5th graders will be visiting Don Juan Avila Middle School this Friday, May 30th. Mr. Carter, DJAMS Principal, will re-schedule the registration presentation for the students at a later date.
4th Graders to Visit Mission San Juan Capistrano: This Friday, April 30th, our 4th graders will be visiting the Mission San Juan Capistrano!
“Annie” Tickets on Sale Now!: This is a show you will NOT want to miss! Our PTA, our parent volunteers and our budding actors and actresses have been working hard to put on an unforgettable show! Buy your tickets after school everyday this week.
Adult tickets are $8, and $5 for children. Performances are as follows:
Friday – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday – 7:00 p.m.
Sunday – 2:00 p.m.
There is also a special “sneak peak” dress rehearsal performance for students only Thursday, April 29th at 1 p.m. Cost is $1 and you can purchase them after school or at the door. Reminder…no parents or siblings allowed at this performance! Parents, please pick up your students at 2:30 p.m. outside the MPR.
SMOOTHIE THURSDAY: Weather permitting, smoothies will be sold Thursday for $4. Enjoy a smoothie before heading into the MPR for the “Annie” performance!
