Renaissance ClubSport has put together a FREE program for kid ages 5-12 to help keep them active during the summer months. They can win prizes and recognition for completing and logging their fitness activities. We are trying to encourage parents of young people to play an active role in kids fitness by playing with them, and working out with them when possible.
The program is set up as a treasure hunt. They will receive a copy of a map with several islands on it. Kids need to workout for 2.5 hours total to reach the next island. When they get to an island they can collect a prize at the Renaissance ClubSport. This program is self paced and parents simply need to sign off on a child’s log that he or she has completed X number of minutes of activity per week. Renaissance ClubSport will also host family nights for the kids and families that are participating in the program. Family day will offer group exercise classes and an assortment of activities at 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays during the program.
Schools will win too. When a child gets to the first island 2.5 hours of exercise, Renaissance ClubSport will donate $1.00 to the child’s school.
The program runs June 28 Daily Through August 16.
An informational meeting and sign ups for the program will be held on Monday June 21 at 6:30 p.m.
