PTA GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING – General Membership PTA Meeting – Please join us for the CVES PTA General Membership meeting, Tuesday, May 25th at 6:30pm in the MPR. Come join other parents and learn how you can enrich your child’s education and school experience by becoming a part of Canyon Vista’s PTA! We hope to see you there! Following our meeting we will have parent education speaker Sandy McDaniel joining us to discuss her latest book “Stop Feeding Your Dragon”.
MOVIE NIGHT!!
The annual Canyon Vista Movie Night is Friday, JUNE 4, 2010!! This fun night is sponsored by Lisa Hungerford & Associates at First Team Real Estate. There will be free popcorn and Otter Pops and the Ice Cream truck will also be selling goodies to enjoy! The movie (tbd) will begin at dusk. You don’t want to miss this fun family event!!
BOOK FAIR – A GIGANTIC thank you to all the volunteers, parents, students, teacher, and staff who helped to make this book fair the most successful book fair ever at Canyon Vista! We earned more than $12,000 in sales (a NEW record for CVES) and CVES will get $8000 for new books for our library. Happy Reading!
SCHOOL SUPPLY KITS- School supply kits are available to order until May 27th. You can order directly online at www.ttkits.com with our school code 26622 or bring your form and check to the front office.
CELEBRATION BOOK CLUB – Would you like to thank a special teacher? Acknowledge a year “Well Done” for your scholar? Congratulate a 5th Grade GRADUATE? Celebrate a summer birthday a little early? Canyon Vista’s Celebration Book Club offers a unique way to enrich our school library and celebrate all of these things! So far this year we have had over 200 BOOKS added to our library through your thoughtful contributions! Thank you! Please come by our library and see the new books and all the smiling faces of your children (and teachers!) on the Celebration Book Club display on the wall.
For only $20.00 per book you can purchase a book for our library from the special inventory of books provided by the Celebration Book Club. The order forms are available on the PTA website or at the Front Office. If you have any questions please contact the CVES PTA.
SMOOTHIES – Don’t forget to send your croc money to school for a smoothie on Thursday. The cost is $4.00 for a 20oz. smoothie available in two delicious flavors! Look for our car hop service at the fire lane in front of school. Weather Permitting!
