Extraordinary Lives Foundation (ELF) – a nonprofit organization focused on improving children’s mental health and wellness – will present a free virtual Comedy Night Fundraiser on Friday, December 4 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. PST.
Kevin Farley (brother of the late actor/comedian Chris Farley) is the headlining performer with comedians Felicia Madison and Francis DiLorinzo. Dawnmarie Kotsonis is the host and emcee.
Donations through the evening’s Fund-A-Need and virtual silent auction (closes December 7) will support ELF’s Piggie Bear Toolkits for young children and access to accredited holistic healers through HUGS for Life Healing Center to low income families.
Extraordinary Lives Foundation founder and CEO Mara James says, “We are so excited to bring light and laughter around the globe while raising awareness and funding for children’s health and wellness.”
James says an estimated one in five children suffer from a mental illness which are occurring at younger ages. In response, ELF created The Power of Piggie Bear book, plush and power cards which help young children identify and manage their emotions. ELF raises funds to donate Piggie Bear Toolkits to at-risk children in hospitals and organizations that serve foster children, military, domestic violence, and homeless families.
ELF hosts free monthly webinars to help families handle stress during the pandemic such as “Mindfully Managing Family Burnout” and “Empowering Pregnant Moms.”
The fundraiser’s silent auction items include Kobe Bryant signed memorabilia, Royal Caribbean Cruise, original jewelry and gift certificates from accredited holistic healers.
