“Stay Safe Lake Forest” – Nov. 30, 2020 Zoom Event

Date:

Residents and businesses are invited to participate in a virtual discussion about technology used in law enforcement during the first virtual “Stay Safe Lake Forest” town hall. The Zoom event will be 6 p.m. on Monday, November 30.

Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Chad Taylor, the Lake Forest Chief of Police Services, and a representative from Flock Safety will make presentations and answer questions from the public. Technology used by the Sheriff’s Department to protect Lake Forest residents includes helicopters, drones, and mobile license-plate readers.

Atlanta-based Flock recently entered an agreement to install cameras at key intersections in town. The cameras monitor traffic flow and instantly notify authorities of vehicles that were reported stolen or involved in other crimes.
