Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) Launches New Ready, Set, Go! Program
The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) has launched the new Ready, Set, Go! program designed to provide information and encourage members of the community to take a proactive approach to safeguard their homes from wildfire.
CARE Package Drive Underway
The public is invited to help support Laguna Niguel’s adopted Marines by contributing items to the Marine Care Package Drive. Donations can be dropped off at City Hall, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm from now through September 15th. Requested items include:
Body wash
Razor blades (Gillette Sensor) or disposable razors
Shaving cream
Moist wipes and towelettes
Tooth paste and brushes, dental floss
Chapstick
Foot powder and nail clippers
Batteries – AA and AAA sizes
Sun screen and insect repellent
DVDs – Movies, Ultimate Fighting Championships, NFL Films
Playing Cards and dominoes
Nutrition bars, protein bars
Hard candy and beef jerky
Gatorade and Crystal Lite powders
Hot sauce
Sukodu puzzles, magazines (car, gun and sports)
The 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment is currently deployed overseas. “When our troops receive a CARE Package from home, it has a tremendous effect on morale and goes a long way in keeping their spirits up.” said Dave Mellon co-chair of the CARE Package Drive sub-committee.

Fundraiser to Support Our Marines & Sailors
Come support the Marines and Sailors of the 1st Battalion, 4th Marines and the USS McClusky by dining at Fratello’s Italian Family Restaurant in Laguna Niguel, Monday through Sunday, August 23rd – 29th.
