WHALE WATCHING
We are seeing TONS of whales right now! This past week we have seen 35 Whales in the past week! We saw 11 on Tuesday 8/17! Now is the time to come! Delight in the amazing views of the largest mammal on Earth! Blue Whale season runs May – October here in Dana Point. Whaling in the 1900’s caused a severe decline in the blue whale population along the Pacific coast of the United States. Once hunting was banned, the blue whale population has slowly started to recover. Before whaling was commercialized, blue whale numbers along the Pacific were estimated to be around 200,000. Today, the blue whale population around the world is estimated to be around 12,000. Approximately 2,000 blue whales call the Pacific coast their home. The blue whale is listed as endangered by the IUCN Red List. We’ve seen Blue Whales on virtually every trip!

FREE LICENSE DAY
Labor Day, September 6th, is FREE LICENSE DAY! No fishing license is required this day thanks to the CA Department of Fish & Game (a savings of $13.75 per person).
LIVE MUSIC CRUISE
Every Saturday! 7:30pm – 9:00pm

Our Live Music Harbor Cruises run every Saturday through the end of September. The cruise will be aboard the 95-foot Dana Pride which has upper deck seating as well as inside seating in it’s large galley, making it one of the most comfortable rides on the water. The boat also features a full bar including wine, beer (domestic and imported), and mixed drinks. Price includes a complimentary glass of Pride Punch! *Please note these cruises are for guests 18 and over.

LAGUNA SIGHTSEEING CATAMARAN TOUR

We have partnered with the Laguna Beach Historical Society to bring you the most informative tour about Laguna Beach, from the ocean portals to the sea! Your trip will begin with continental breakfast service along with a glass of champagne and a tour around Dana Point Harbor. We will then travel up the coast looking for whales and dolphins, while discussing the marine life as we travel past Laguna’s shore. Our scenic, historical tour of Laguna Beach will start at Crystal Cove State Beach, where we will begin cruising south along the coastline to give you an up-close view of the area!
On this 3-hour, narrated tour you will:
•Hear about Laguna’s rich history in the film industry with numerous entertaining stories about the stars that called Laguna their home, and still do.
•See world-renowned architecture of homes that are placed dramatically on cliffs, on rocks, and in the sand. The hotels tell there own rich history from the beginning to today’s 5 star hidden hotels.
•Learn the secrets of Laguna Beach’s past that you will surely go away repeating and telling your friends about.
•Although this is not a whale watching cruise, we are in the midst of our Gray Whale watching season! And of course, our coast is home to four different kinds of dolphins, as well!

Every Sunday (right after our Free Kid’s Fishing Clinic) for our 12:45pm 1/2 Day Fishing Trip and kids fish free! One child will get a free 1/2 Day Fishing Trip (a savings of $25) per paying adult! Rental gear is included for the kids too! Another savings of $12!
