Dear Parents and Students,
It is with great pride that I am able to report to you that the official Academic Performance Index (API) for Capistrano Valley High School, released late yesterday and based upon the Spring 2010 California Standards Tests (CST), increased to 825, which represents a three point gain over the previous year’s score of 822.

Once again, this gain is a direct reflection of the continued hard work of our great students, involved parents, dedicated teachers and hardworking staff. While standardized test scores are only one indicator of student success (and we must therefore always guard against focusing too much on any one indicator), we certainly have ample reason to be proud of these scores. Thank you for your support in always ensuring that our students STAND TALL FOR CAPO!!
GO COUGARS!!
