9/19 Release of rescue seals adopted by second graders***
Last Spring, the 2009-2010 second grade class students at John Malcom Elementary School had the wonderful opportunity to visit the rescue program at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach. They learned so much through this program that they decided to sponsor a sea lion through the Adopt and Release Program. Approximately 100 second graders donated $300.00 in loose change in order to adopt two sea lions.
After several months of rehabilitative care, Endor and Nikki (our sponsored sea lions) are healthy and ready to be returned to their ocean home. Their release is scheduled for this Sunday, September 19 at 9:00 AM at Crescent Bay in Laguna Beach. We hope you are able to join us, Endor, and Nikki for this special day!
***9/24 Back-To-School Celebration***
Aloha Malcom Mariners! Join us Friday, September 24th to welcome another awesome year at Malcom! Come dressed in your favorite luau attire. There will be a DJ and shaved ice provided by Hula Girls Shave Ice. Festivities will be from 5:30PM – 7:30PM in the harbor area. Shaved ice, $3.00, waters, $1.00.
