GARDEN CLEAN UP
This Monday, Sept. 22nd, we will be working in our garden, getting it ready for the teachers to begin planting with our kids. We will be starting at 8:00am. Please grab your pruners, gloves and any other tools needed and join us as we help to beautify our school. Annique Wilson, our new Garden Liaison, and Monica Lawrence will be there to direct us on where to pull, cut and mulch. Coffee and water will be provided.

SUMMER READING LOGS
Over the summer, Crown Valley students had the opportunity to log their summer reading. . . it is not too late to hand in your summer reading logs! If you need to down load another log, please access the Crown Valley website. The deadline to hand in your child’s reading log is October 1.
YOGA AT CROWN VALLEY
Judy Van Dahlen’s popular after school yoga class will be returning to Crown Valley Elementary once again! The class will be starting Thursday, September 23. You can link information about the class at Yoga For Kids.
ST MATH
ST Math starts Tuesday, Sept. 28th. This is a computer-based, afterschool math class through Community Education. ST Math is an award winning software that provides a very strong conceptual foundation for math by tapping into the brain’s preference for visual cues and ability to detect patterns. The program covers all State standards for your child’s grade level, and has been shown to increase testing scores by 10-20 percentile points for students who finish 75% of the material by testing time. . .
