BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHTS:
We will be hosting “Back to School Nights” over 3 different evenings next week. The schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, October 5 – Kindergarten: 6-7 p.m.
Wednesday, October 6 – Grades 1 & 2: 6-7 p.m.
Thursday, October 7 – Grades 3, 4 & 5: 6-7 p.m.
Thursday, October 7th we will be on MINIMUM DAY SCHEDULE. The schedule is as follows:
Grades 1 – 5: 7:45 – 11:50
Early Bird Kindergartners: 7:45 – 10:28
Late Bird Kindergartners: 9:07 – 11:50
HEAT REMINDER:
Please make sure you send your student to school with plenty of water during our current heat wave. Little ones can get dehydrated quickly!
SMOOTHIES – Don’t forget to send your Croc money to school for a smoothie on Thursdays. The cost is $4.00 for a 20oz. smoothie available in two delicious flavors! Look for our car hop service at the fire lane in front of school.
INK RECYCLING:
We are collecting ink cartridges to help purchase school supplies throughout the year for our Crocs! Our school gets $2 per cartridge and businesses are a great resource for extra cartridges. The collection box is in the front office.
REFLECTIONS ART CONTEST!!!
Parents, have you picked up the entry form for your student? Art contest entries are due on Oct. 6th in the Main Office.
Contest Details: Have your student “reflect” on the theme “Together We Can” and create an original piece of art based on this theme.
Types of Entries: Photography, Visual Arts, Film, Music Composition, Dance & Literature

Due Date: October 6th in Main Office
Awards: All participants receive awards, the top entry in each category will move on to the district for Round 2 of judging

SILLY BANDS BAN:
We are asking all parents for your help and diligence in ensuring your student comes to school “Silly Band free”. While we understand these bands are a popular item with elementary students these days, we are finding they are causing a huge disruption in our learning environment. We appreciate your assistance with this.
ALISO VIEJO RED RIBBON WALK:
Help keep Aliso Viejo “Drug Free For You and Me!” Register for the Aliso Viejo Red Ribbon Walk which will be held on October 24, 2010 at Aliso Niguel High School from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Registration is free and easy at AVRedRibbonWalk2010.EventBrite.com.
