Do you remember hearing about the Don Juan Dinomites success last year in a program called Destination Imagination?
This year at Don Juan Avila, we have more teams entering than ever with two 5th grade teams, one 4th grade team, and starting this year we have one 3rd grade team as well. However, a team is not a team with out a team manager, so we are on the look out for a parent that may have a child in 3rd grade that would be interested in managing this young team.
All other teams are full, but this 3rd grade team has a spot for your son and daughter if you can take the time to manage the team. No experience needed, just have to have a sense of humor and give your time for about an hour a week until Tournament time in February. If you are interested contact Rick Wojcicki at rickwojo@aol.com for more information.
What is Destination Imagination (DI)? DI is an experiential after-school activity in which student teams solve open-ended Challenges and present their solution at Tournaments. Teams are tested to think on their feet, work together and devise original solutions that satisfy the requirements of the Challenges. Participants gain more than just basic knowledge and skills – they learn to unleash their imaginations and take unique approaches to problem solving.
