GUIDANCE
College Admissions Tests
Students planning to apply to a four-year college/university must take either the SAT or ACT. It is recommended that either one or both tests be taken in the spring of the student’s junior year and retaken in the fall if his/her senior year if needed. Students planning to apply to the University of California system or to some private universities (you will need to check with each specific private university) must take an additional exam; the SAT Subject tests (please note: SAT Subject Tests will be optional for students applying to the UC system starting fall 2012 or later). Senior Activities
Seniors that have not ordered their cap and gown will need to do so by January 28th, 2011. You can order online at www.tesoroshop.com or come by the ASB office to pick up the forms. Either way you need to drop the form off by ASB so that we can order the correct size. National Recognition is our vendor this year and a representative will be on campus several more times before the deadline of January 28th! If you are going to drop off the forms with a check please make the check payable to Tesoro High School. Check out the web site for more items to purchase for seniors!
Blood Drive
There will be a Tesoro High School blood drive on Wednesday,
December 8th, 2010 in the small gym from 7am to 1pm. All presenting donors must be 17 years of age and have parent permission. Sign ups for students 17 years and older are going on now everyday in front of ASB during lunch. Tesoro Toy Drive
ASB and the Key club students are working together to make the holidays a little better for children that are in the hospital during Christmas. You can help by bringing an unwrapped, new, toy or book to the ASB office, front office or library starting Monday, December 6th through the 17th.Just look for the bids that are marked “Toys for Tots”. The donations will be delivered to the local “Toys for Tots” foundation. Help Tesoro make a difference in a child’s life by donating today.
