Dear Parents and Students,
As we near the winter holiday break, I want to thank each of you for your individual contributions in making Capistrano Valley High School such a special and unique place. I am always so proud of our school and extended community, and I know that together we will “STAND TALL FOR CAPO” as we welcome in a productive new year ahead.
As a reminder, our winter break is from December 20, 2010 through January 2, 2011 with school resuming on Monday, January 3, 2011. During this time away, it is my hope that our students and families will enjoy some much needed rest, relaxation, fun, and most of all, quality time spent with loved ones. It’s hard to believe, but when we return on January 3rd, the first semester will be nearly over, so of course, I also highly recommend that our students spend some time catching up on any missed work, reviewing, and preparing for finals — which will take place at the end of January. In the meantime, on behalf of our entire faculty, staff, and administrative team, I wish you the happiest of holidays and a wonderful 2011 ahead.

CLOROX CONTEST UPDATE:
The winning schools for the Clorox “Power a Bright Future” Contest have now been posted on the contest website at powerabrightfuture.com. Unfortunately, despite Capo’s seemingly large number of votes at the conclusion of the contest, we are NOT listed among the four contest winners. Apparently, a significant number of our votes were invalidated during the voting finalization audit. We have requested an explanation from Clorox and are awaiting a reply.
