News Flash ~ San Juan Hills High School Becomes an Official Test Center for the SAT Exam!!
San Juan Hills High School is proud to partner with College Board as an official test site for the SAT I and SAT Subject college admissions exams. Our site will be open starting with the January 22, 2011 test. Students from the class of 2012 (juniors) who plan to apply to a four year university will need to register for the exam this spring. When registering, be sure to select test center number 05006.

Don’t forget to register to take the SAT I or ACT in spring 2011 so that you have your test results when you start applying for college in October 2011. FAFSA Filing Period Begins January 1, 2011
Parents of college bound seniors don’t forget that the window to submit your 2011 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) will open on January 1, 2011. Cal Grant GPA Information Release Form
Senior students who have applied for fall 2011 admission to a campus in the California State University, University of California, a California private/independent university and those who plan to apply to a California Community College and wish to be considered for Cal Grants need to submit a “Gal Grant GPA Information Release Form” to Mrs. Scherf or Mrs. Oxales in the Guidance Office by Friday, January 28, 2011. Mrs. Scherf will be visiting all economics and American government classes on January 5th and 6th to distribute the forms. The form can also be downloaded via the SJHHS website at http://sjhhs.schoolloop.com/collegefinancialaid Completion of this form is your signature allowing SJHHS to release your grade point average to the California Student Aid Commission who works in conjunction with FAFSA (the Free Application for Federal Student Aid) in determining financial aid letters to college applicants. Don’t delay; Cal Grants are awarded on a first come; first served basis! Please note: The FAFSA must be submitted in order to be considered for Cal Grants. PSAT and PLAN Scores Back Night.
Parents of students who took the PSAT or PLAN test this past October and November are invited to attend the PSAT/PLAN Score Back Parent Night, on Thursday, January 20, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. in the Theatre Conference Room (off the theatre lobby) at San Juan Hills High School. A professional from Revolution Prep, the company that CUSD contracts with for SAT and ACT test preparation through Adult Education, will be on hand to discuss the results and other pertinent information regarding college admissions testing.
If you are unable to attend the PSAT/PLAN Scores Back Night, your child’s test results will be available for pick-up in the Guidance Office the following day; Friday, January 21, 2011.

Parents are invited to join their students at the RESULTS PRESENTATION, where you will learn how to interpret your Revolution Prep score report, and receive general information on standardized testing and options for preparation.
The Results Presentation will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2011, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the SJHHS Theatre Conference Room. (You will need to print your score report from the Revolution Prep website and bring it to the Results Presentation).
