Hello Everyone,
In looking back on 2010, I feel a great sense of pride in what we have all accomplished together at Hankey K-8. This year:
• We became the only community funded K-8 International Baccalaureate candidate public school in the state.
• The dedication and hard work of our teachers continued to drive student learning and achievement. Hankey teacher’s unwavering commitment to all students ensures every learner receives an education infused with International Baccalaureate and Arts curriculum that far exceeds state standards. I know this as an educator and I am grateful for it as a parent.
• Our supportive parents and community have given their time, trust and treasure to our school. Hankey enjoys a very special connection with this community and your generosity and commitment to all of our students is unmatched by any school in CUSD.
• Our kids have risen to new academic challenges. After reading primary report cards and signing middle school honor roll certificates, it is clear that our students are achieving academic greatness and deserve the best education anywhere!
I am energized by what we have done in 2010 and can’t wait to see our teachers, parents and students make Hankey K-8 the CUSD model for academic excellence in 2011!
