Mission San Juan Capistrano has announced the artists and dates of its popular Music Under The Stars concert series for 2011, which begins Saturday, June 25, and continues every other Saturday until the final show on September 3.
The concerts feature picnic dining and dancing to a variety of live music in the beautiful atmosphere of the Mission courtyard. Seating is available either at a reserved table, or on your own lawn chair. Proceeds for the concerts help support Mission Preservation efforts.

Saturday, June 25 — The Derek Bordeaux Group: Motown, Soul and R&B, The Right Way
Saturday, July 9 — Savor: A Tribute to Santana
Saturday, July 23 — The Long Run: Experience the Eagles (headliner); Fortunate Son: Tribute to John Fogerty & Creedence Clearwater Revival (opening act)
Saturday, Aug. 6 — Hot August Night: Tribute to Neil Diamond
Saturday, Aug. 20 — Sapadilla: Steel Drum, Calypso & Island Music, with Caribbean Jem Dancers
Saturday, Sept. 3 — The Fab Four: Ultimate Tribute to the Beatles with “Ed Sullivan” (headliner); DJ, Peter Papadopoulos: Beatles’ Era Dance Set, with dancers (opening act)
Concert gates open at 5:30 p.m.; music begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 9:30 p.m. Season table packages (at least 1 table for all 6 shows) go on sale March 28; tickets/tables for Mission Preservation Society Members go on sale April 11; and tickets/tables for the general public go on sale April 25.

The Mission receives no funding from either the Church or the State of California and charges admission funds as a means of providing public access.
