Orange County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Eric Brown was named Aliso Viejo’s Deputy of the Year and honored by the City Council on Wednesday.
Brown, a 21-year sheriff’s veteran, has served Aliso Viejo since May 2004. His hard work and dedication has earned Brown the respect of his peers and members of the community.
During Wednesday’s meeting, Lt. Bob Osborne, chief of police services, praised Brown for his outstanding work this past year, which included completing a detailed map book that contains the layout of more than 80 communities in Aliso Viejo. That map book is now issued to all Aliso Viejo Police Services personnel as part of their regular gear.
Brown was also nominated for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Medal of Lifesaving for his quick response in saving the life of a suicidal teen.
