Non-profit Furnishing Hope is delighted to announce its second event in the series “Inside Orange County’s Finest Homes.” This event will be held at “La Casa Della Famigila Roy” (Italian for “The Roy Family Home) in Laguna Niguel on Saturday, September 24, 2011. A few of Furnishing Hope’s wounded warriors will be present during an Italian-themed evening in this beautiful Tuscan home. Sargent Major O’Loughlin, United States Marine Corps, from the Wounded Warrior Battalion on Camp Pendleton will speak about the Battalion and what our men and women face as they return home from war. Also included in the event will be an opportunity drawing, live and silent auctions.
Proceeds will to help support Furnishing Hope’s program to furnish homes for our severely injured military returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan.
This event will be the second of a series of fundraisers to be held in private homes furnished by Orange County design professionals. Attendees will not only be able to peek into some of the most lavish homes in Orange County but also spend a moment with the families, designers, and architects who designed and built them.
The event committee has been diligently working for months to present a spectacular event for such a meaningful cause. Fundraiser guests will not be disappointed!
When: September 24, 2011
Time: 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Where: Casa Roy, 3 Searidge, Laguna Niguel, CA
Why: Proceeds will benefit Furnishing Hope’s efforts in furnishing homes for our returning military. Dozens of wounded warriors are returning each month, and many families rush to Southern California with only a few suitcases. Furnishing Hope provides furniture for these uprooted and in-crisis families to relieve stress from their lives, and support healing. Furnishing Hope partners with active duty organizations to be ready within hours or days to make a home for as many of these warriors and their families as our funds will allow.
