Laguna Ballet’s The Nutcracker at Saddleback College!
Laguna Ballet, a non-profit junior ballet company serving Orange County families since 1985, presents its 26th anniversary production of The Nutcracker December 15-18th in its fifth season at the McKinney Theater stage at Saddleback College.
More than 90 Orange County students come together each year, under the direction of Shery Gilbert, to perform in a full-length production of The Nutcracker, one of America’s popular holiday traditions. Bring the whole family to join Clara and her Nutcracker prince on their enchanting journey. The Nutcracker is Tchaikovsky’s most famous composition and the most popular ballet in the world.

Ticket prices are $24 general; $22 students/seniors/Angels; $20 children 12 and under and Saddleback College students and staff with current ASB card. Saddleback College’s Forensics Team Fall Championships Tournament Results
The Saddleback College Forensics Team competed at the Pacific Southwest Collegiate Forensics Association (PSCFA) Fall Championships Tournament held at Cerritos College on December 2-4, 2011. “This was one of the largest tournaments in the country. We held our own. As coaching staff, we are the most proud of the attitude and determination that the students displayed after the tournament. The students are hungry to compete for State and Nationals next semester,” stated Lucas Ochoa, forensics team coach. Larry Radden, forensics team co-director, also added, “We look forward to the spring as Saddleback will make its push for State and National recognition. We have no doubt that when the dust settles, Saddleback will be amongst the top schools in the country.”
Bart McHenry, Dean of Fine Arts and Media Technology, stated, “I am pleased with the ongoing success of our award-winning forensics team. The hard work from the students and faculty is paying off and I have been delighted to see more students joining the group eager to be part of a winning team and to learn the life-changing skills of speaking well.”
