SATURDAY JULY 14: LIVING LEGEND PONCHO SANCHEZ APPEARS CENTER STAGE AT THE FESTIVAL OF ARTS AS ‘JAZZ ON THE GREEN’ SPECIAL EVENT SERIES CONTINUES

Laguna Beach, CA – For more than three decades as both a leader and a sideman, conguero Poncho Sanchez has stirred up a fiery stew of straightahead jazz, gritty soul music, and infectious melodies and rhythms from a variety of Latin American and South American sources. On Saturday July 14th, Sanchez will bring it all to center stage at the Festival of Arts as the second headliner in the talent-stacked Festival series “Jazz on the Green”.

On the heals of releasing his 25th album, Sanchez is as hot as he has ever been; and in the intimate setting of the Festival green, his performance is sure to make memories.

“We are honored to once again host Poncho Sanchez,” said Susan Davis, director of special events for the Festival of Arts. “He is one of the great jazz musicians of our time, and it’s a pleasure for us to offer our guests an up-close and personal experience with him!”

Poncho Sanchez will perform July 14th from 1pm-3pm on stage at the Festival green. There is no extra cost beyond admission to the Festival of Arts for guests to enjoy his performance.
