MISSION VIEJO, Calif. (August 17, 2012)— Kaleidoscope Shopping Center in Mission Viejo will host a mini-carnival to benefit the Orange County Chapter of Make-A-Wish on Tuesday, August 21, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Local wish kids and their families have been invited to take part in this fun-filled day complete with jugglers, face-painting, balloon-twisting and concessions.
Guests are encouraged to bring a new backpack or toy (no weapons or stuffed animals, please) to donate to Make-A-Wish, and in return will receive 5 free tickets to the carnival. Additional tickets are available for purchase.
Make-A-Wish will grant 325 wishes this year to children living right here in Orange County and the Inland Empire. Toys and backpacks are used at different times during the wish process, often as an ice-breaker the first time we meet a wish child. These gifts make the kids feel extra-special.
The mini-carnival is one of two events Kaleidoscope is hosting this summer to benefit Make-A-Wish. This past Wednesday, August 15, the shopping center held the Red, White and Dine Wine Extravaganza. Proceeds from the event were donated to Make-A-Wish to help grant wishes for local children. This is the second year Kaleidoscope has partnered with Make-A-Wish and hosted these events.
