This year’s State of the City is a celebration of this great community that will take place during the city’s annual Founder’s Day Fair on Oct. 13.
Held at the rustic Aliso Viejo Ranch site at 100 Park Avenue, Founder’s Day is an annual city event that commemorates the heritage of Aliso Viejo. The event offers a glimpse of California ranch life through historical displays and antique farm equipment exhibits with hands-on activities such a panning for gold, blacksmithing and so much more. Guests of all ages will enjoy live entertainment by Woodie and the Long Boards, a carnival zone, petting zoo and countless other exciting attractions.
Keeping in line with this year’s State of the City “Celebrate the Community” theme, Founder’s Day will feature the premiere of the city of Aliso Viejo’s Lip Dub video, filmed by the community in August, and Mayor Donald Garcia’s address.
Founder’s Day will take place from 1 to 7:30 p.m., with a free community barbecue served from 5 to 7 p.m. After folks enjoy the tasty fare, Garcia will take center stage with a short presentation and the premiere of the community Lip Dub.
This event offers something for the entire community and is one folks will not want to miss! Stay tuned to the city’s eNews, Twitter and website for details about other attractions on tap for Oct. 13.
