WHAT: The San Juan Capistrano Fiesta Association says good bye to the swallows and welcomes the 2012 – 2013 Fiesta de las Golondrinas season with a traditional BBQ meal, live western entertainment, announcement of grand marshals and elections for dignitaries Ms. Fiesta and Senor San Juan.

BACKGROUND: The Fiesta Association held this event initially to say farewell to the swallows and it now serves as the election of the 2012 -2013 senior dignitaries. Fiesta de las Golondrinas events include the Swallows Day Parade & Mercado, Taste of San Juan, Kids Pet Parade, Hoos’Gow Day, Fiesta Grande and El Presidente Ball.
