Text Kills® K-JAM 2012 is Saturday, November 10, 6-10 p.m.
MISSION VIEJO, CA – It’s being touted as K-JAM 2012 – A first-of-its-kind indoor concert at Kaleidoscope where popular teen bands from Laguna Niguel, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara and all over Southern California, will come together to perform alternative pop music while bringing awareness about an important issue on not texting while driving through the community outreach program Text Kills® (www.TextKills.com).
Special guest and the evening’s Master of Ceremonies will be Sabrina Lentini. Live performances by five bands with members aged 15-18, including Crown Valley Parkway, Ugly Paint, ONE11, False Puppet, and A-Symmetrics. There will be acoustic guest performances between sets. Cover charge is $10. Guests may receive $1 off each ticket price, maximum $5 off per ticket, for each can of food donation brought for the Orange County Food Bank. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The event, co-sponsored by Musdeo.com and OC Bandstand, will be held at Kaleidoscope located at 27741 Crown Valley Parkway by the 5 Freeway in Mission Viejo. Event will be held in Suite 329 on the top floor of the center. Water and soft drinks will be available inside the venue. Food will be available for purchase at Kaleidoscope restaurants.
Kaleidoscope is committed to helping spread the message on important community issues. This month’s awareness campaign comes on the heels of Kaleidoscope’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign, Make-A-Wish, American Cancer Society Relay For Life, and the teenage drug overdose film preview Overtaken.
