John Neumeier has developed his Hamburg Ballet into one of the most exquisite and creative dance
companies in the world. His thoughtful story adaptations have shed new light onto well known tales,
seamlessly combining story, movement, music and visual imagery. For the Center’s Exclusive Southern
California engagement, Neumeier has created a modern but timeless interpretation of The Little Mermaid
to celebrate Hans Christian Andersen’s 200
th

For the Center’s  Exclusive Southern California engagement, Neumeier has created a modern but timeless interpretation of The Little Mermaid to celebrate Hans Christian Andersen’s 200th birthday.

Free Public Tours

Segerstrom Center offers tours of Southern California’s award-winning home for the performing arts and

its expanded facilities. The tours take visitors through the three venues, making this a perfect outing for

groups or anyone who wants to know more about the performing arts. The tour is conducted by Center

Docents.  Public tours are conducted Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. Private group tours are

by reservation only.
