The Orange County Sheriff’s Department High Tech Services Reserve Unit on Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. will give an interactive presentation on “Adolescent Internet Safety” for parents and/or caregivers and grandparents at Don Juan Avila Elementary School.
The presentation will focus on Facebook, Snapchat and other websites that adolescents access. The huge problems of child predators, cyber-bullying, gaming, mobile devices and social mapping, online surveys and tracking of personal information will be discussed. Folks will learn how predators can access children on the Internet.
This forum is designed for parents and/or caregivers and grandparents only. Students will not be admitted.
The school is at 26278 Wood Canyon Drive.
